1: Face Watch. Clever use of consumerism to do good.

Recently came accross this nifty new accessory-brand-come-charity-campaign '1: Face Watch', the 'brainchild' of creative marketing director Fam Mizra. It's slogan: 'Changing the world one face at a time'. 

Described as 'a fashion product with much more than fashion value' Face Watch is a range of watches in various colours which all represent an important cause. The face displays the time when a button is pressed and doubles up as a mirror the rest of the time. 

It's a simple, modern design with wide appeal and the kind of contained technological sophistication perfected by Apple. I think it will sell really well.



But more importantly than it being aesthetically pleasing, purchase of a particular watch supplies money to the cause represented by its colour; white for poverty, black for cancer, blue for environment, red for aids, pink for breast cancer and yellow for water.

I like it: why not harness the world's need for fashion and use it for good?
